Medicinal chemistry relating to the cardiovascular system

Discoveries include: Application of de novo molecular design methods to the rapid discovery of novel protein ligands, underlining the importance of in silico fragment-based approaches in the discovery of future cardiovascular-targeted drug therapies. Examples include the design of novel inhibitors of blood-clotting FXIIIA and the use of virtual high-throughput screening to identify novel agonists of ACE2.

Investigators include: Dr Colin Fishwick, Professor Adam Nelson
